Sloven

You may have noticed that I spend less and less time talking about what we're eating. That's because we have been enjoying such culinary delights as grilled cheese and tomato soup, frozen pizza, take out. Because the semester is finally starting to get the better of us.

Ya think it's time to take throw the pumpkins away?

We've been gone 2 weekends in a row; the kids have been sick. Ben has been sick; Jamie has been sick. I have not cleaned the slats of the blinds in 10 days and it's making me twitch.

This? This is what happens when we don't do laundry for a weekend.

This week, though. I have high hopes for this week. Scrubbing the bathroom grout with a toothbrush hopes. Fresh gingerbread baking in the oven hopes. Crockpot and Pledge duster hopes, people.

  1. I love your love of cleaning! We just got new blinds for 22 windows and I think of you everytime I watch the dust increase on the pretty 2" slats.

  4. I have the same hopes! Real Simple magazine had a month's worth of menus complete w/ shopping lists. I am definitely cooking 4-5 times this week.

My hopes in the cleaning department are far more modest than yours. Maybe our laundry will get done. Maybe.

  5. I agree with Becca on the blinds -t hat is something I may do once every 2-3 years when there is so much dust on them I can't take it any more... But it is not a weekly thing for sure!

And the whole eating thing - I have found I go in streaks. A few weeks ago I tried out two new recipes back to back. Then, I went to the basics for a week because I was tired of being good :) So, don't feel bad :)
