Pic of the Week

Ok— more like 2 pics and a video.

First of all, this one:

We all woke up with norovirus on Monday, and it was gruesome. Ben had to write down all of our meds because it was a lot. (Also, Jack was FINE and went to school, the lucky duck). And! I was convinced we were all dying of carbon monoxide poisoning despite our fevers and made Ben drag himself to Menard’s for 2 brand new CO detectors (and I ordered 6 new smoke detectors on Amazon. You should be married to me. IT IS A DREAM COME TRUE).

Our family photos this year are so adorable that I must share one even though I usually wait until my holiday cards are out before I share them.**

IS IT ANY WONDER WE ALL GET SICK AT THE SAME TIME?

(Ben and I had beers. The kids had ice cream. IT WAS THE BEST).

And this video! CRACKS ME RIGHT UP EVERY TIME:
** Hi, blog friends. Can we be holiday card friends, too? Email me if this sounds fun to you xoxo

  1. Yikes for all of you being sick (except for Jack the champion). Glad you're all on the mend... I made the fire department come to our place last month because I thought I smelled something, so I'm no fun either.

Would love to exchange holiday cards with you! Emailing...

  2. Ugh for being sick! I have my photocards at my side RIGHT NOW and your name is on my list. Yay. I love holiday card season. You will be getting mine early - likely before American Thanksgiving. #SorryNotSorry

Unicorns are real. Didn't you know this?

Lisa here. Oh no!! I am so sorry you were all hit at the same time. That is epically bad. You don’t have a ton of bathrooms either!! :(

Would love to be photo card friends. Will email shortly!

  4. No one needs norovirus. Heck no virus is needed. We've learned that...

  5. We can absolutely be card friends! I'll email you! Sorry about the norovirus, that's just ugh ugh ugh. Also, CO is a very serious thing so I support you. Our CO detector went off when M was 1 and I was 32 weeks pregnant with J. It was a pretty big deal, we had a huge leak from our hot water heater. ALWAYS HAVE A WORKING CO DETECTOR, we could have all been dead!

  6. UGH! This sounds terrible. Well, it just shows you're a close family (how in the world did Jack escape it???)
I want to exchange cards- theoretically. But I'm having Christmas card inferiority complex right now... I'll email you if that changes.
Hope you all feel better SOON.

  9. Oh COME ON, that is the cutest fucking family photo EVER. I would love to exchange cards, but I am too dumb to find your email. Can you email me?

  10. Oh shit, huge sympathy about the Norovirus. Bigger family, bigger horribleness when everyone gets sick.

  11. Holiday cards! I'm in!

  12. Ah, that photo. Family togetherness. I would've been an ice cream participant, all.day.long. Super cute.

Sorry about the germ fest at your house. That sounds rough. When Ed was 1, Lad, Coach, and I were all puking. We finally just stacked the kitchen chairs on the table so he couldn't climb, and then dumped every toy and book in the middle of the room so he would leave us alone.

I'd love to exchange cards. I'm dying laughing at Ali's 'too dumb to find your email address' line. I might have to steal that same sentiment. Wait - I found it. It's in your 'about me.'

  13. Oh geez, norovirus is no joke. We all had that once at Christmas when visiting family, and wow did it suck. I hope you feel better soon.

I love your card! Very cute.

  14. I don't know if I'll do cards this year... maybe? This is making me think I should. BUT - I'm boring. Just me, no spouse, no kids, usually just a holiday wish on a postcard. :) (I could drop one in campus mail for you, though, if you want... HA!)
