5 on. Friday: Delicious Things

 1. Copycat Costco chicken bacon bakes. DO NOT READ THE CALORIE COUNT ON THESE (or, do, and then eat a quarter of one, like I did **whomp whomp**)

2. Spiced pumpkin cake with lemon glaze— really good for breakfast.

3. Kopps. Next time you are in the Milwaukee area, you gotta eat here. My fam loves the burgers, but I am partial to the grilled cheese.

4. Betty Crocker lemon squares from a box. Dorothy and her friend made them, and everyone was a fan.

5.  The good old classic cinnamon dolce latte. It’s holiday cup season, betches!

  2. I have yet to have a delicious holiday Starbucks drink. There's one sort of near the dog park (okay, fine, it's about five miles out of the way in the wrong direction, but don't I deserve a treat after going to the dog park, too?!), so maybe this weekend I should get myself a tasty treat.

  4. That cake looks yummy, although I admit a partiality for lemon bars. And mmmmmm grilled cheese!

  5. Yay for holiday cups!!! And that lemon cake looks delicious. I looked at the recipe, and 5 teaspoons of pumpkin spice- I approve! Most recipes don't use enough and come out too bland.

    1. YES-- I typically find Real Simple recipes under-spiced, but this was great.

  6. I'm here for Starbucks drinks although I haven't had a holiday season drink yet - just my usual skinny vanilla latte in a festive cup which makes me oh so happy!

  7. Kopp's - well, I'll have to check that out. My sister Marie lives in Milwaukee. That pumpkin cake looks amazing.

  9. Starbucks holiday drinks are a staggering occasion for my daughter. I always forget all about them, and I don't drink coffee so they're kind of irrelevant, but I like a white peppermint hot chocolate once a season.
I keep seeing pumpkin bread and pumpkin cake recipes and why have I not done anything with my giant can of pumpkin puree, WHY

  10. Mmm, food. I like the idea of the pumpkin spice cake but... lemon glaze? Did it work? I'm also not a Starbucks person but love seeing others' cups when I'm at work. :)
