Fun in the sun

Okay, yes, I have a ton of work t do, and it is supposed to be close to 100 degrees here today (and tomorrow and the next day), but I am eating the last Dilly Bar, and the AC is working its hardest to keep things only a hair above 70 (shut up). Ben and I just had a landscape walk through at our new house, and I am so excited! We picked peonies and hydrangea and a crab apple tree and a whole bunch of other stuff that I can't really remember. Mostly we just listened to the designer tell us what would have a good sequence of bloom and said things like "I like pink."

Yesterday we had an open house (One person came. One.) and spent the afternoon at the pool. Jack jumped in over his head and generally had a fabulous time. So, phew! This picture is taken from really far away and it looks like Jack has a pacifier (he didn't), but I think it shows how much fun we were having!

Just like last summer, I am using SPF 50 and more than the recommended shot-glass full per application. I am even wearing a freaking UPF 50 long-sleeved rashguard. And I am still getting tan. What gives?

  1. I would LOVE to pick out a landscaping plan. How fun!

Surprised to hear you're up near a hundred degrees. I guess there's nowhere for me to move in my cooler summer fantasy.

Pool looks like a great time.
