Fa La-La-La-La

Harry is Buddy the Elf this holiday season, which is both adorable and annoying.

Ben actually demanded that Harry stop singing yesterday during the 959th rendition of Jingle Bells (the "Batman smells" version), and I said all mock-horrified, "But the best way to spread Christmas cheer is signing loud for all to hear."

Ben glared at me, and Harry (who didn't recognize these words as a line from a movie but instead embraced them dogmatically) yelled "You're right Mama!" and upped his volume, switching to Deck the Halls and joined by Jack who ran in the room with his Santa hat askew screaming, "Idea!" which is what he says when he means "good idea."

It's no coincidence that Jack always dons this apron naughty side up

All Christmas all the time

  1. Julia is a "Jingle Bells" advocate as well. Thank the lord I have her addicted to the Frank Sinatra version. She asks daily for, "Frank's Jingle Bells". :)

  2. Absolutely hysterical.

Jingle Bells would be a lot nicer than Charlie's favorite song, which has a lot of "ponk" (his word for fart), "poop", and "Wes" substituted in for the real words.

  4. Izzy has latched on to O Christmas Tree and is singing it for all it's worth constantly. It especially amuses me because she sings "your leaves are so much changing" instead of "so UNchanging" like the lyrics are supposed to be. Oh so close and yet completely opposite meaning. I am a huge semantic dork.

  6. LOL--Ethan was singing "Jingle Bells" this morning as I dropped him off for preschool---at the temple. I'm awesome.

  7. Love the "naughty" apron! And I often catch AJU5 by the tree these days - because she just loves to look at the ornaments and lights (not the presents surprisingly).
