Dorothy is eleven today!
IHO the big day, here are some awesome things/birthday trivia about Dorothy, along with some retro pics (wrap up next week because her big celebration is a night at the Kalihari for her first dance comp of the year- she has been dreaming of this weekend for awhile. Definitely since the summer when she tried out for dance for 8 long weeks and her miser parents tried to limit her to just 5 teams, but then they relented at the last second when she got placed on 6. Now she lives her dream of SIX DANCES (with a pretty intimidating 12-hour schedule) at SHOWSTOPPER, and I’ll let you know how it goes).

4. This is the third year that Dorothy and I are celebrating her day with a shopping spree and lunch— such a fun tradition! She also skips school on her birthday— love it.

DeleteHappy birthday! It is a fun tradition to skip school on your birthday and do some self-care. I try to always take that day off work for myself!

DeleteWhenever my daughter and I can't decide what to get each other for a holiday, we do a day together, and we both love it. It's usually lunch and shopping, and the buyer gets the other one whatever they want. Last year she wanted a pair of Doc Martins. This year I got her a gift, but maybe we'll go out to lunch anyway. Happy Birthday to Dorothy!

DeleteLove the look back. Curly danced in Orlando for Nationals once. The guilt I felt taking 1 child to Disney was unbearable, so I took the 4 youngest. We had SO much fun. My fav pic is the two sisters at Disney in matching shirts. I so want to pinch Minnie's cheeks. Wow- a day off school!
