HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOOOOOP!

Did you know that Cooper's bday, September 9th, is the most common bday in the world? But also he is always the only kid in his class/school celebrating on that day.

This year was tricky because Ben had to be in Peoria EARLY on the big day, and apparently 14 is still little enough to have thoughts about the proper time to open presents and eat cake (THE DAY OF). He also did not want to skip diving on his day, but he did want to bring treats-- I love that.

We ended up with lots of small celebrations.

Sunday: family dinner and cupcakes

Monday: Cake and presents after work/school/diving:

Tuesday morning: Sibling gifts and pancakes before school (talk about a helluva Tuesday)

Treats for diving (and a small box for home)

Still on the horizon: golf with Ben and the big bros (they got him some clubs to complete his set, and Harry is home for the weekend for family pictures) on Saturday and a bday party at a driving range/mini golf course on Sunday.

14! Baby Cooper, with his crazy hair and his pacifier is FOURTEEN.

Here he is at one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, and thirteen.

Also, shout out to 2014 me who made Cooper's name in cookies for each guest a his decorate-your-cookies party.

  2. Happy Birthday, Coop. I love extending birthday celebrations. I think it's way more fun that way. Well, for the recipient at least. Maybe a nightmare for the parent organizing it all!
