Life Lately: last pool day/ back to school photo dump

 FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN:

That night, we went to the park after dinner, and Minnie ran into a kid from her class who was also on his scooter. They played scooter tag for an hour and it was everything I wanted when we decided to keep her in our neighborhood school.
Everyone else's first days:

And of course Minnie's second day
So far, things are great. But it has only been a handful opf days-- we'll assess later this month

Harry is also doing great! And we miss him! Moving him in was really fun-- his dorm this year is WAY NICER than the one he lived in as a freshman. We also had a blast in Eau Claire.

A pre-trip stock up at Costco and a new dorm chair:

Move in:

Every floor has a kitchen like the one above-- love it!

We also had fun walking around downtown

And then! One more perfect pool day before our fall reality set in

Ceremonial last jump (Minnie jumped early and Coop made himself the finale)

Thanks for a great summer, Hawks Landing Pool

Looks like everyone had a great first week. Are kids in your school district allowed to have bare middrifts? Our schools have a dress code that supposedly forbids that.

  2. Our kids went to the neighbourhood schools for all levels, from pre-K to grade 12, and it was the best decision ever. Being able to walk to and from school and also to have a group of neighbourhood friends to play with - the best.

  3. Everyone looks great! Minnie- so cute on her first day. I would also ask about your school dress code- our kids aren't allowed to wear crop tops- my daughter did last year anyway, but she said this year they're cracking down more.
    Harry's dorm looks REALLY nice!
It must be bittersweet to say goodbye to the pool. But- lots of fun fall-ish and holiday things coming up! I love this time of year.

  4. Oh, man. I'm so sad about the end of summer and all the pools closing. I'm not ready for fall.
