Time Track Tuesday: A Sunday

We had a lovely Sunday that's pretty representative of our weekends generally (although this  coming weekend we have a bunch of stuff going on including an out of town dive meet both days).

7am: Minnie came stomping into our room and woke us up. I asked her to turn on my coffee, which she did, and then she asked if we could watch Bob's Burgers-- omg I love that show!

8:30am: Ben and I went for a run

(said goodby to Harry, cleaned up breakfast, colored a Thanksgiving tablecloth with Minnie for a few minutes; ate some oatmeal)

10am-1pm-ish: We did a house refresh and ate lunch

(dog walk; got dressed)

2pm: I went to Marshalls, World Market, Michaels, and Homegoods in search of Thanksgiving table things, and you guys! It was MOSTLY CHRISTMAS! What happened to Thanksgiving?! I also stopped by Target to grab a sweatshirt and a couple of long sleeved dresses for Minnie.

4pm: I raided the kids' Halloween candy to make cookie dough while Ben made dinner

5:30-6:30pm: Dinner and Out of the Loop

6:30-7:30pm: Dinner clean up and actual cookie baking

(dog walk, sitting around, etc)

8-9pm: More Out of the Loop

(shower)

9:45-10:30: Couch rotting with Ben, watched The Chair Company

  1. I am intrigued by Out of the Loop...

How are you liking The Chair Company? The previews don't appeal to me, but my husband thinks it would be fun.

    1. it's definitely not for kindergarteners, but the kids have all loved it, and they're pretty funny people, so I think it's a net positive

  4. I’ve never heard of Out of the Loop, which I guess makes me…out of the loop. Also The Chair Company. We’re almost finished with Nobody Wants This, so will need to find something new to watch…

  5. I keep thinking I need to do a post where I walk through a work day. I always think it's boring, but then I read every word of other people's daily schedules voraciously. Like...you voluntarily went to MULTIPLE stores? That's not ever on my Sunday plans. Oh, well. We'll see if I ever get to it!

  6. I am hoping we can try Out of the Loop at Christmas now. I just came across The Chair Company yesterday and was unsure - you like it, presumably? And that is bullshit about the Xmas stuff, but again, you guys SQUISH THEM SO CLOSE TOGETHER lol.

  7. i've not heard of any of these shows. Not surprising. My down time at night is usually spent writing. Your Sunday looks like a fun day and busy with all the fun things. Love it.

  8. Now I want to try playing Out of the Loop! I saw the first episode of The Chair Company and liked it, but now we are sucked into rewatching The Americans and ignoring any new shows.

  9. This sounds like a great day. It has everything i love- running, eating, shopping... (what's this about a house refresh? I need to do that.)
Yes, I've been noticing the past few years that the stores skip right over Thanksgiving. The only good thing is, a lot of fall things are actually on clearance now, and um, it's still fall so I want them! I'm planning a little shopping tomorrow.

  10. I felt like I started seeing Christmas in stores before Halloween was even over! Sorry, Thanksgiving. It's Christmastime, lol.

  11. I do think that your time-tracking records about last Sunday reflects that you had a lovely Sunday, Sarah.

  12. I haven't seen the new Bob's Burgers, but the old sure has some funny stuff! Mostly related to Tina. The writers knew a middle school girl perfectly!

Tony used to watch Bob’s burgers!
Also, echoing Engie’s comment above - you went to four store on your own initiative???? Whew I admire that and also you will never seen me do that. On a Sunday when I want to be reading or relaxing. You’ve got energy, teach me please!
