The opposite of dog vomit.

The only picture I took yesterday was of dog vomit, so that pretty much sums up my day.  (I was going to text the picture to Ben, but there's a piece of undigested ham on top and it's just too gross to text, even).  Dorothy said, "Oh no!  Poor Beatrix isn't feeling well. Her needs rest, doesn't him?" which was good because my first instinct was, of course, to be annoyed. (Dog MOTY, also pronouns are still a mystery to my three-year-old.  I actually love her baby syntax-- she does weird things with prepositions, too-- and will miss it forever).

I finished a huge pile of grading, but now I have 2 huge projects to embark upon before classes are over next month.  Gah. I gave myself today to do officey things with no pressure, but starting tomorrow-- my nose. The grindstone.  You get it.

I am going to take the advice of my favorite podcast Happier and come up with a mantra everyday.  Today is energy, which I really need despite (because of?) sleeping for an hour past my alarm this morning.

I am also on day 2 of not eating like a crazed giant, and it's going really well!  Except I am hungry and a little crabby and still not able to cut out alcohol or stop eating sugar because without those 2 things, WHO WOULD I BE? (Don't say thin and with better teeth.  YOU DON'T HAVE TO).

Here's a picture of not dog vomit.  The opposite of dog vomit, maybe even:
