August: What I Read

Ok, you guys. I just need to read 6 books a month for the rest of the year to meet my goal. I think I can...

8. Woman on the Edge by Samantha Bailey: Took my mind off the early contractions.

7. A Burning by Megha Majumdar: Solid meh on this one for me. It was a Book of the Month pick.

6. Topics of Conversation by Miranda Popkey: Read this-- believe the good reviews, etc.

5. Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia: SO SCARY. Loved it and hope there's a movie.

4. Sex and Vanity by Kevin Kwan: My last pool book of the summer, and it was perfect.

3. I'd Give Anything by Marissa de los Santos: I LOVE THIS AUTHOR, so when I get a new book of hers, it is a treat. She is a poet AND she writes compulsively readable chick lit. This combo cannot be beaten. Check out her entire oeuvre.

2. Destination Wedding by Diksha Basu: I loved this book. So sweet. So simple. So charming. All of the characters were well drawn and quirky. Read it-- this book is a delight.

1. Friends and Strangers by J. Courtney Sullivan: LOVED LOVED LOVED this one!
