I should be dissertating, not blogging. . .

But Harry is taking a great nap, and it's raining right now, so we can't go for a walk. Most importantly, I want to get all of these pictures up because we're starting a new memory card this weekend and plan to bombard the blog with pics of Harry and his tiny new cousin, whom we are so excited to meet! Plus, we're going to a school function tonight and will probably get some cute shots there. . . Plus plus, I am typing reading notes in another window while my pictures load. Anyway, I clearly have some guilt.

Check out Harry in this outfit-- the same one he wore home from the hospital.

Now remember how teeny tiny he was when he was just 3 days old

Here he is with his new ladybug pacifier-- it snaps shut when it's not in his mouth-- came in really handy at the filthy Sears portrait studio-- pics were so bad we actually returned them-- never go there! We heart The Picture People, though.

Here he is actually grabbing his bouncy chair-- and don't worry, Mom, he wasn't "contained" very long-- he actually enjoys a good massage every now and again. Yeah! Harry's a grabber!!

Tummy time is more fun by the minute as our little boy gets super strong. Have I mentioned how much he loves his dog?

See you soon with Max pics!

Our Des Moines Trip

Here is lucky Harry being adored by some of the many women in his life-- his Grandma Lynne, his Great Aunt Leslie, his Great Grandma Bomma, and of course his Mommy.

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend in fabulous Des Moines, Iowa. The drive only took 4.5 hours, and Harry slept most of the way, waking up only once to eat and poop on the way there and twice on the way back-- well, we actually woke him up on the way back because we were stopped along I-80 to have our favorite gas station sandwiches (sounds way grosser than it is), and you know Harry-- he's always up for a quick meal.

Here's Harry meeting Bomma and Jack for the first time

Here he is shooting the breeze with Bomma

Harry looks cool in his overalls, huh? Here he is hanging with his Daddy

Harry with his Aunt Boo and cousin Molly, who has her very own blog and needs to email us the link!

Harry with his Great Grandpa Jack kicking it in Jack's comfy chair

Harry with Grandma Lynne

Harry Pants looking pretty chubby. It's funny because when Bomma and jack got their living room couches, they were concerned about stains, but those sofas have lasted through dogs, grandkids, and now a great grandkid, and they're still white! Maybe Harry can fix that by spitting up orange when he's finally eating cool things like squash.

Harry with his Grandma and his Great Aunt Heather-- no they are not possessed-- just a bad light trick.

Sarah and Jack looking at Grandma Lynne's camera. It's funny because they are the only people in the world to have viewed the contents of that camera. Lynne had some awesome pictures, but they were all destroyed in a freak viewing accident shortly after this picture was taken. The camera's last act was to rip the barb from its chest... Oh, sorry. Wrong freak accident.

Harry on his tummy-- trust us, his Grandma had a much better view!

Crabby Harry with his cousin Molly

Harry with his Uncle Ben-- ask Ben about Harry's wolverine rash.

Coming soon: Harry's new cousin Max! Max Maurizio was born on Tuesday, September 5th at 6:10 pm. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and he was 19 inches long. We can't wait to see him, and we hope to have some pics to publish on Saturday. Congrats to Jen and Maurice!

School Days-- (Betcha thought I'd say "Daze"-- ha-- too clever for that!)

Hi. It's me, Harry. I've got to tell you, I think I am a bit too young for college, but my mom insists on dragging me there, anyway. It's called "daycare," honey. Get some. Anywho, here I am as the world's cutest desk accessory, if I do say so myself.

Here I am enjoying some time with Sue-- clearly, I am a nuzzler.

Here I am with Maegan and Dave. They look pretty cute together, huh? I keep hoping they'll produce some sort of playmate for me...By the way, Maegan passed her prelims, which my mom says is a big accomplishment, so congratualtions, Maegan.

Here are Whitney and Paul giving me a squeeze during the 100 meeting.

Oh. My. Gosh. Dad, you are so funny. I have got to start exercising my sides. You make me laugh so much.

Here I am watching TV in my favorite recliner-- going to school all day really wears a man out. That's right. I said I'm a man-- what are you gonna do about it?

This is me helping my mom with the laundry. Hasn't she ever heard of child labor laws? She says she could make a fortune with me because my nimble little fingers won't get caught in the spinning wheel, whatever that means.

Tummy time is getting to be more fun now that I can lift my head a bit. Mom-- brush your teeth once in awhile before you get all in my face, okay?

Me and Dad kicking it like old fools who are so cool.

Mornings are so chill at my house.

Mom, Dad, I love you guys, but this is the 21st century. Who the heck is Popeye the Sailor Man?

Don't let my constant sarcasm make you forget that I am, in general, a happy fellow.

Our Last Week of Summer Break

Kicking Back

Here's Harry modeling a cute new sleeper that his silly parents bought in the wrong size. It fits, but barely!

Thanks for the cute overalls, Pat!

Here's Harry in bed with us-- that's his morning routine. He wakes up at 5 and then sleeps with us until 7:30 or 8.

Thanks for this cute number, Grandma Karen

One of the many pics I took of Harry during the course of a normal day. You can't see the pile of laundry that's on the bed waiting to be folded.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde anyone?

Here we are hanging out after Ben's home from work. Harry always has a big gummy smile for his Daddy.

Playing-- so much more fun now that Harry interacts a bit with his stuff.

So cute!

Cool-- an action shot.

It's hard to be a baby.

Some more playtime pics

Harry after a much-needed bath. Seriously, the next time you see Harry, sniff his head-- some BO underneath that sweet, milky baby smell!

Ben says Harry looks like Rocky in this robe. Harry knows when he's being patronized. No, actually he doesn't-- babies are so fun!

Harry is in love with this stuffed dog-- his second crush (after Cathleen)

Harry and Ben working on Ben's online class.

Just wanted to show you how chubby Harry's getting.

A good shot of Harry's dog love and his baby acne

Cuddling with Dad on lunch

Getting a lunchtime mani/pedi

Helping me set up my desk for a new school year

We'll post some more before our trip. We're looking forward to a fabulous, relaxing weekend with NO PLANS!! Well, maybe a trip to the new Babies R Us...
