Feeling funky

Ugh I feel so scattered and crabby. I have barely been reading, and my stack of library books is starting to feel very judgy. I have barely taken any pictures, even!

Part of it is a let down from All City-- it really was sort of all-consuming there for a hot second.

Some of it is the change-up at Cooper's dive club and not really knowing what that experience is going to be like after 4 seasons with his old club.

Then there is just the general schedule uncertainty for fall--we have no idea what Dorothy's schedule will be, and Minnie is trying out for a swim team.

Jack moves out in 11 days. ELEVEN DAYS. And Harry right after. And neither of them will be around to close down the pool, and that just feels wrong.

So. Anyway. That's why I have been MIA, not just the utter insanity of my schedule-- but that, too.

I need more of this:

  1. I ALWAYS feel "funky" during times of schedule shifts and big changes. I think it's all normal and... I can also appreciate that it feels crappy to be in the middle of it.
Give yourself lots of grace <3

  2. I hear you!!! I had a tremendous letdown after the wedding, and we also have schedule changes coming up (although not as big as yours, since I only have one kid at home now). I think getting school started will feel good and get us back into a routine. Good luck with the college boys- I know you've been through it before, but it's hard to say goodbye!

  3. I totally get it! Im feeling antsy for the school year to start just so we can get this new routine under our belts. I wish I had sports schedules out by now so that I could just write all these dates on the calendar- right now August and September LOOK blank, but I know that they will be SO full!

  4. Well, you look so cute - so you’ve got that going for you. Next week will be nutty over here getting two kids to college in opposite directions. And I start babysitting the next day. Change is hard - wishing you all the best as you find your groove with the fall semester, as we all know you will.

  5. Congrats to Cooper! I saw something somewhere online last week with a big picture of the All City dive champ and I was like, hey!!! Cooper Jedd!! I “know” him!! 😃😃

Totally get you feeling all out of sorts- feeling the same over here this summer with just all sorts of fun but also many things (mostly family related) throwing off basically every routine. Everyone goes home (my sisters family and my in laws) after I think August 23rd and I will then lean HARD into some normalcy for a while, hopefully!
