Did you miss me? I actually didn't go anywhere

Oh wow-- I accidentally forgot about the blogosphere for a whole week last week. YIKES.

Things are BUSY over here, and that's saying a lot because my baseline tolerance level for daily activity is pretty high. Ben's work has been busy. Harry has been out of town for his work, too. My online class started up, and I got an extra adjunct section this 8-weeks from the online school I have been teaching at since 2009. Plus I have had tons if meetings for fall. The All City Dive Meet is happening at our pool, and I am on the planning committee, so most of what would have been spare time has been devoted to dive things. And! We've had bad air quality, so the pool has been closed intermittently, throwing everyone's schedules into a tizzy. Also! It has been in the high 90's here, and I have been yelling at everyone to keep the damn door shut which has honestly taken more time than you'd think.

Don't worry, we've been up to our usual bullshit, too.

  1. Welcome back to the internets! Everyone needs a bloggy break every now and then. I mean, we all get PTO at work, so why wouldn't we get PTO from the internet?

The heat and the smoke have been unreal! I don't know about you, but I get enough indoor time in winter, so it's bull to have to be inside during the summer. Boo!!!

  2. I did miss you, and thought maybe you were on vacation- ha, hope, sounds like the opposite. Glad to see there was still pool time, books, and adult beverages involved.

  3. I HATE SMOKE SEASON!!!

Your comment about keeping the door closed for the a/c makes me think of that song by Panic! At the Disco with the lyric:

“Haven’t you people ever heard of
    Closing a god damned door?!?”

Which makes me think of my Grandpa for perhaps obvious reasons.

  5. Yes, wearing masks like it is 2021 up in here! I feel terrible that I don't have a little mask for Hannah. Her poor little lungs.
