Last night swim as a 4 year-old:
Last tuck in as a 4 year-oldBday breakfast set up READY TO GOOOOO
Birthday morning
Minnie wanted to spend her birthday at the Children's Museum, and I forced Cooper to come along
She wanted to stop for a mini bundt cake on the way home
She chose the golf course pizza restaurant for dinnerThe day after Min's birthday, we went to The Wilderness Resort in the WI Dells. That place is wild-- SO MANY WATER PARKS. But also THIS HAPPENED.
]
When we got home (AND TOOK SILKWOOD SHOWERS), the grandparents arrived for the last leg of the celebration
All in all, an EPIC bday, yes??
For fun, here are Harry's 5th bday, Jack's 5th bday, Coop's 5th bday, and Dorothy's 5th bday. (This is our THIRD time to celebrate the big oh five with a water park visit-- very Wisconsin).
OH MY GOD ON THE SINK FILLING UP WITH FECES. Am dead now.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Minnie (feels weird typing that after the feces comment). (do I delete?) (no)
You guys really know how to celebrate! This is how all birthdays should be. But, EGADS. That actually happened??? That was your review? What a terrible experience! The hotel sounds awful- but it looks like you had a great time otherwise.
ReplyDeleteWhat an epic bday celebration! I was always envious of kids with summer bdays. Mine is in Feb when the world is cold and dead. lol. Phil’s bday is today so we will be low key celebrating him. Minnie looks so grown up in these photos!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Minnie. It looks like an epic birthday celebration. I think you were pretty reserved in your review.
Deleteoh gross, that is totally disgusting!! We have stayed there multiple times over the years, but we've only ever stayed in the Glacier Canyon Lodge (the 2-3 bedroom condo style rooms) adjacent to the Wilderness. We've never had anything but a really good experience- our rooms were always clean and no issues, thankfully! (Again though, we've never have tried the actual "Wilderness" rooms, and also we've never been there in peak busy season (not that that should matter! but just saying). I'm glad the rest of the weekend was great fun! How did you handle your new healthy habits during all these ongoing festivities? Maybe some people don't want to hear about it, but I would be interested! Those are tricky situations (for me) to not just throw all caution to the wind and dive face first into endless pizza and ice cream. lol.
ReplyDeleteI ate a huge lunch before we went up on Thursday (salad, chicken, lentils, strawberries) and then had a turkey burger with no cheese or bun and a side salad at dinner. I did taste the kids' crazy shakes, though. And I drank 2 beers throughout the day because OMFG. On Friday, I skipped breakfast at Mr. Pancake and ate a Larabar mid-morning and a Culvers chicken salad on the way home. I DID have a piece of cake and a scoop of ice cream on Saturday after lunch and a slice of pizza with a huge salad, plus a cocktail at dinner and more cake (lol) and prosecco at home after. I was back to normal on Sunday and have had ZERO leftover cake even though I love it so much and the old me would have eaten it fork by fork by now. (I did also drink wine last night for no reason tho-- I LIKE having a drink or two, and once I get back in the habit, it's hard to go back to abstention).
