1. We are eating lots of things on huge trays. Definitely a time saver.
2. SPEAKING OF SAVING TIME! Cooper has been eating the same car snack every day lately, so I made an entire week's worth and put them in the fridge downstairs. Next week, he can decide once on something else-- love this idea and will definitely do it for Dorothy next week, too, when dance starts. Because she dropped tap she only goes 3 days a week this year, so I am looking forward to Tuesdays and Fridays when we all have a little breather. (Cooper's new club DOES practice on Fridays, though, so it's only a little breather). I might even do this for Minnie's swim team nights because she needs to eat quickly before practice, so maybe I could make one thing for both Tuesday AND Thursday.
This little snack box is 690 calories with 8 grams of fiber (mostly from 2 applesauce pouches) and 62 grams of protein. Are Goldfish and summer sausage the best nutritionally? Erm. BUT HE EATS THEM.4. Dorothy has ONE MORE baby tooth to lose and then it is ROUND TWO of braces for her. Who doesn't want to go to high school with headgear? (J/K-- she won't have to wear headgear to school. But she is looking at like 2 full years of braces). Also, she lost the note excusing her from class between the ortho office and her school (a 6-minute drive).

That final picture of Annabel. BE STILL MY HEART.
ReplyDeleteYep! "Decide once" for the win. And you're changing it every week so the kids won't get sick of it (my daughter gets tired of the same food very quickly).
ReplyDeleteMy son had braces from 7th grade until the middle of his sophomore year of high school- ugh. BUT! He loves his nice straight teeth now. Dorothy will too.
Asher is a JUNIOR and still has braces. He was slow in the tooth department so we had to wait a long time before he could get them on- and then he had this weird adult tooth that was not coming in straight down but instead was remaining crooked up in his gum, like at a 45 degree angle, so they had to do oral surgery to expose it get a bracket on it. He's now finally in the realm of maybe just 2-5 more months, max, before they'll come off. He cannot wait!!
