How I spent my solo spring break

I watched TV. (Scarpetta and season 1 of Your Friends and Neighbors-- liked them both. Also liked watching TV midday when I was least likely to fall alseep).

Read books. (just a couple-- I was really off my reading game)

Shopped (unsuccessfully) for t-shirts. I need to go to Madewell and Evereve, I guess.

Filled Easter baskets.

Made a weekend's worth of restaurant reservations instead of cooking a single Easter thing (zero regrets).

RESTED in anticipation of a bananas 4 weeks ahead.

A lovely spring break.

  2. Quiet time alone is a rare commodity in your house / your stage of life. I remember that stage, and I only have one kid. Now I get a lot of time to myself, though I’m usually working so it’s not quite as excellent. But every Friday I have the day off while everyone else is working, which is wonderful.

    Reservations > cooking for sure.

My favorite basic white and black t-shirts are from Leset (the price tag is a bit scary...) but they are exactly what I look for- not too thick, not too thin, not boxy, etc. But I also love Hanes classic t, which are like 12 bucks!

  5. Sounds perfect! And, I was just at Nordstrom Rack and they had Madewell tshirts. I didn't get any because I was there to look at dresses. But they looked really nice.

  6. "Saving NGS from a non-existent car tow" didn't make the list?!

  7. Loving your 'no regrets' mindset. You are wise to rest up for the upcoming nutsy schedule you're facing. Good luck!
