We bought a dishwasher and a fridge more than 3 weeks ago, and we are LOVING the fridge. But! The dishwasher was supposed to arrive and be installed 10 days ago. Something happened on delivery day (missing a hose?), and we STILL DO NOT HAVE IT. We have called a million times and didn't cancel the purchase because we like the completely no frills model we chose, and we were concerned that starting over at a different store would delay our delivery too long (LOL LOL LOL LOL). So. TODAY MIGHT BE THE DAY.
Speaking of annoying expenses!! Annabel's one-year well-check was SO EXPENSIVE. Five HUNDRED DOLLARS. What. And! She is getting spayed this quarter. Geez. Pets.

I've read two of those books- never read Nothing's Fair in Fifth Grade. I bet you'll enjoy re-reading them.

I've never heard of a walk-through of a schedule but that's brilliant.
EEK $500? I want to say "Charlie's didn't cost that much!" but you know what, I don't actually remember and maybe it did?!?! I think you get at least a $200 baseline fee just for walking through the door at the vet. LOL. I will say, I know our vet was WAY more reasonable on the neuter that the first vet's office we went to. They had quoted me close to $1000! And the other vet's office only charged like $350 for the neuter, plus I think $75 for a pre-appt or something else. Bonus, the other vet is only a couple blocks from our house AND the 2 main vets there I sort of know (one is a swim team dad we vaguely know and the other one is the wife of Ethan's old soccer coach).

I have about $300 a year for Lucy in my head, but some shots are every two years, AND hey, $6000 acl surgery, whooo hahahahaha. Trying to decide if I ask for a very last first day of school pic for Eve when she goes into the lab the day after labour day. I HAVE TROUBLE LETTING GO.

I hope the dishwasher Gods smile down on you and that badboy gets delivered today or tomorrow. The planning date with a hs senior? Teach me, Obe Wan, because myself and my family members do not do calendars well. I mean, unless you count the giant dry erase board in the kitchen that I don't update nearly as much as I need to. Or the gi-normous desk calendar on the island where I keep track of stuff . . . in theory.
