1. MY OFFICE IS SO QUIET AND I CAN SHUT THE DOOR AND BE ALONE AND NO ONE IS TALKING TO ME OR OVER EACH OTHER.
2. Wearing pretty clothes! I could arguably do this any day, but I don't so **shrug**
3. Coffee! From my favorite coffee shop by my office!
4. Audiobooks in the car because NO ONE IS RIDING WITH MEEEEEEEEE***
5. Coming home to a tidy house and planned dinner and a fam who is happy to see me.
** A couple of days of meetings and then no school until after Labor Day
***New Karin Slaughter series; no Sara Linton!!
wooooo!!!! Cute dress!
ReplyDeleteThose are five good things! I like how you're happy about back to work and not dreading it- my husband always goes back kicking and screaming. Maybe if he were home all summer taking care of five kids, he wouldn't mind going back to teaching as much in the fall? Hmm.
ReplyDeleteLove that dress! I need to see a full view of it!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it feel SO good to get back into routines. We still have 2 weeks to go. I'm hanging on!
Mine are very similar: I cannot wait to get back. Routine, outfits, the feeling of validation that comes from work, and the schedule. I usually just bring coffee in a travel mug and make more at work with my kettle and instant coffee ;)
ReplyDeleteThat was Daria from NJ, sorry
DeleteWait, wait, number 5 is not always true for me. How do you do it???
DeleteMeanwhile, I'm over here well aware that I have five work days until classes start and have zero Canvas shells made and 1/3 syllabuses started. I am going to have to get a move on!
ReplyDeleteNO SARA LINTON!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, all the other stuff is obviously awesome. But you know me and Sara Linton.
A office with a door is a joy indeed.
ReplyDeleteMy semester started, so I get to listen to depressing country music on the way to work and no one will change the station.
