5 on a Friday: Costco Faves Right This Minute

I am on a big Costco kick right now, and I have several new things that I cannot even live without.

1. Skinny Dipped peanut butter cups: THESE ARE SO GOOD. I love dark chocolate, and these have tons of peanut butter. I love eating one or two for dessert (and they are really satisfying-- two is always almost too many).

2. Fairlife Nutrition Plan Protein Shake: I bought these for Cooper, but then I didn't want to go all the way downstairs for chocolate milk, so I opened one and out it in my coffee, and it's BETTER than chocolate milk (because it's not as sweet) and WHY NOT get a little more protein? I also brought one with me to the library because I didn't have time to eat lunch and was starving. TL;DR these are great-- 30 grams of protein and only 150 calories.

3. Nutrius Body Butter: This is a Sol De Jenairo bum bum dupe that Dorothy and I both  like a lot.

4. Nexxus shampoo and conditioner. The ginormous Costco sizes cost THE SAME as the smaller ones at Target, and this is the perfect duo for Dorothy and Minnie's shower. I did have to watch a video about how to open them, though.
5.  Cosmic crisp apples. I am eating... maybe more than 4 pounds of these a week-- that's how much I love them.

Do you guys go through grocery store seasons? I was all about our local Kroger branded chain (ours is a Metro Market) and got drive up groceries there every single week for over 2 years. I hardly ever even went inside a store. But lately? I would rather go inside Costco than get an Instacart Costco delivery, and I have found myself also popping into Trader Joe's and Whole Foods more often than not. Maybe it's just because I have a little time on my hands this summer, and grocery shopping can also pose as an activity for Minnie? Perhaps when full kicks in, I will be overwhelmed again and doing a quick Saturday morning drive up rush. Have you paid attention to your grocery patterns and they way they change?

Literally ran in for apples and body lotion:

OUR NEW FRIDGE IS HEEEEEERE, so I am going to have some Costco frozen favorites soon I JUST KNOW IT

  1. That fridge is so similar to mine, except that mine doesn't have the water dispenser. Otherwise, it's the same! I have seen that body butter at Costco and wondered about it.

  2. My kids have informed me that Cosmic Crisp apples are delicious, almost as good as Honeycrisp but way cheaper! I've been getting a lot of them.
I always go into the store- I just like to see what's there and pick out my own things. But there is a danger of ending up with way more than you came for that way!

  3. Sarah, we are so routine bound that the biggest change to our grocery store routine was when we switched from going on Friday nights to Monday nights. There are no "seasons" over here. Woodman's every week and Costco once every 4-7 weeks. We're so boring.

I have to admit that we have a normal fridge with the freezer on top and the fridge on the bottom and I like it. We're so boring.

The lesson from this comment. We're so boring.

I shop at the same places most of the time, so going a different grocery store is like a little fun field trip. I stopped at a Trader Joe's ( the closest one is 1.5 hrs from home) on the way to move daughter to college just because it's so cute ( this is only my second visit to one.) And Sam's club on the way home at the end of a long day ( for just Kleenex and prunes, but walked out $200 later....).
The fridge is lovely. We bought a side by side that we had installed this week. I like having ice cream at eye level.

  5. Oh, I wonder if my husband would like those peanut butter cups? He’s pre diabetic and does not eat any candy, but he really misses his Reese’s. I wonder if one or two would be great, or a slippery slope? I’ll ask him next time I’m at Costco…
