5 on a Friday: Things I love about the Marigold Fest

Did you know that my hometown of Pekin, IL, is the MARIGOLD CAPITOL OF THE WORLD?

We have been to the MARIGOLD FESTIVAL many times:

2015

2017

2019

2024

And! Get excited already for next year because it is the 30th anniversary of my reign as MISS MARIGOLD, so you know the fest will be extra exciting for me. (Kidding and also very much NOT KIDDING).

The highlights of the Marigold Festival for me are the parade and Art in the Park, so those are the high points we hit, along with Double D's ice cream. IHO of a Friday theme, here are my 5 Marigold Fest loves:

1. THE CRAFTS

Thanks to my mom's boyfriend Steve for this wreathe! I found it at the first booth we visited, but ennui prevented me from tracking it down at the end of our Art in the Park tour, and he dipped out to use the bathroom (supposedly) and came back with a wreate for me and one for my mom!

2. The friends. Behold, my bestie since first grade who took us all out to lunch and added Dorothy to her girl gang for the day

3. The fam time:

4. The proximity to Bradley

5. The tradition!!

  2. I agree, your outfit is adorable and I love the twinning with D moment! I clicked back through and I can't believe there's no photographic evidence of your reign as Miss Marigold. I think we need a 30 year retrospective! (I was a runner up for Jr Snowdown Queen and the loss still haunts me)

Jej najbardziej charakterystycznym elementem jest naszywka w kształcie kompasu, którą nosi się zazwyczaj na lewym ramieniu kurtki czy bluzy. Symbol ten podkreśla filozofię marki – nieustanne poszukiwanie nowych kierunków i odkrywanie nieznanych rozwiązań.
