I know I am beating a dead horse here, but the dance placement thing (or, um, lack of dance placements, I guess) is making me foam at the mouth. All I want to do is PLAN MY AFTER SCHOOL life, and... I can't.
I have tried a million different ways to look at this as a positive, and... not finding them. Maybe it's another lesson in control what you can control? Dorothy is stressed about it from a what-team-am-I-on perspective, but we have been with this studio long enough t now that the season will be great no matter what-- I just want to get my carpool on.
The kids finally all went back to school, and I am not going to lie, I am relieved.
Do you love Minnie's bob? I definitely do!!
After:
Annabel is bereft, but I am loving the quiet house-- might be worth the morning scramble and the terrible drives to and from campus, actually. So far life with 3 kids is incredibly easy, even by myself.
Our internet was out on the penultimate day of summer break (meaning NO TV!!) so we bought some coloring books because we had to delay pool plans while we waited on the internet guys.

Minnie is ADORABLE. Also, I can't believe you're "down" to three kids at home. I am sure it feels way more surreal to you, but golly it feels crazy to me since I've been reading your blog for years and started when Minnie was truly... mini!
ReplyDeleteVisualizing a weasel SAUNTERING into your garage both fills me with horror and giggles.
I love Minnie’s hair, and I’m glad that blogger is allowing comments now. Ugh on the weasel and rat issue. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a weasel IRL. OK, let’s just say no, I’ve never seen a weasel IRL. I’ve seen a couple of possums though!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha... now I'm picturing a weasel "sauntering" into your garage! Yes, do not leave the garage door open- we've learned that as well.
ReplyDeleteYay for back to school and I LOVE Minnie's bob!!!
I can only imagine the stress of not having the dance schedule in place in order to map out the rest of the places and how you will get there. Loving Minnie's bob. I'm also team EVERYONE IS BACK TO SCHOOL, even though that means I have to start work again. It was time!
