đđ„łMeet the Newmans by Jennifer Niven: Meh.
đ§Parable of the Talents by Octavia E. Butler: The firs tone was way better and can stand alone.
đ§The Nine Lives of Rose Napolitano by Donna Freitas: I read this on Nicole's recommendation and liked it.
đ±đ„łVilla Coco by Andrew Sean Greer: Adorable, but not as good as Less
đđ„łLand by Maggie O'Farrell: Exactly why everyone loves her.
đ§đ„łMolka by Monika Kim: So weird and good.
đ§đ„łSipsworth by Simon Van Booy: So spare! So sweet!
đ±đ„łDown with the Shipmans by Meg Mitchell Moore: Liked but did not love this summer family saga.
đđ„łThe Shampoo Effect by Jenny Jackson: Perfect summer read.
đ§Commencement by J. Courtney Sullivan: LOVED IT.
đ±đ„łGirl Dinner by Olivie Blake: YES YES YES.
đ§đ„łThe Reservation by Rebecca Kaufmann: I adore her.
đ±đ„łWhistler by Ann Patchett: YOU GUYS.
I also felt meh about Meet the Newmans. It was overly long, too! I just read a backlist by O’Farrell - the hand that first held mine. It was so good! I haven’t read Land but plan to eventually. I prefer her backlist to her recent books which tend to be deeply historical. Her backlist is moreso set during modern times.
